ABOUT THE MUSIC MEN

♦ JEEVAN LEROY ♦

Jeevan Leroy remembers his first encounter with electronic dance music. It was at ZOUK many years ago listening to the resident DJ playing in the main room on a massive GSA analog soundsystem. It was a mind blowing experience for him, and that was when House music hit him.

Ever since then, his interest with electronic music grew on a much deeper level and he started exploring different subgenres, discovering new sounds along the way. Drawing inspiration for his music from the likes of Minimal, Techno and Dark Room beats, his taste for music was constantly evolving, yet he always retained his signature style of playing.

Four years later, Jeevan was ready to take things a couple of notches higher. He booked his first gig at the Figure it Out party at Zsofi bar which paved the way for more gigs in Singapore at places like Millian, Empire, SO Sofitel, and Cato to name a few. Jeevan Leroy has a few tricks up his sleeves to keep you coming back for more.

♦ SIVANESH ♦ (CÉ LA VI Singapore)

Citing seminal American house music duo Mood II Swing as an early musical influence, Sivanesh's diverse playlists are held together by equal amounts of groove and soul.

Through his Sunday night residency at the Club Lounge of CÉ LA VI Singapore as well as playing regularly in the local clubbing circuit, he has set the tone for international guest acts such as Chloe (Bpitch), Chaos In The CBD (In Dust We Trust), Manuel Fischer (Drumpoet), Mike Steva (Yoruba Records) and Rampa (Keinemusik) in the last twelve months.

♦ AMAN ANAND ♦

Making a name for himself as one of the most exciting talents out of Asia in recent times, Aman Anand switches between the dual roles of being a DJ and producer with ease and finesse. Spending his time in between India and Singapore, Aman’s productions blur the line between electronica, progressive house and melodic techno, cleverly marrying these different sounds together in the unique way that is his.

With his releases slowly but steadily growing strength, his EPs have seen tremendous support from international heavyweights such as Anthony Pappa, Hernan Cattaneo, Secret Cinema, and more.

The self-taught mechanics of dance music for this young musician has started to translate itself into global releases, with his EPs being released by reputable record labels such as progressive house legend Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music and Movement Recordings to name a few.

Aman has been billed in several dance music hotspots: clubs such as Headquarters, Tuff Club, Kilo Lounge, Cato in Singapore, and Humming Tree, Pebbles, blueFROG in India. With regular release work on cutting edge international dance music labels, Aman Anand continues to prove himself as a fresh new talent to watch out for, in the music scene both here and abroad.
